Let’s look at our favorite examples of using coupons in affiliate and influencer programs and other marketing initiatives to reach larger audiences.

1. Scaling influencer marketing while spending less

Scaling influencer marketing - new

Influencer marketing is evolving and costs are skyrocketing while performance is declining. Tapfiliate’s coupons help you take advantage of the most authentic influencers who can share your brand and generate real-world sales.

As soon as you can use coupons to track sales through Instagram referrals, you unlock a world of Micro and Nano-influencers. They usually don’t ask for a huge upfront payment, have higher trust and conversion rates, and are often a huge marketing channel currently on the rise.

2. Reach a new, larger and more committed audience through coupon sites and apps

Coupon sites with Tapfiliate coupons

Coupon sites and apps definitely help an ecommerce business reach a much larger audience than they can reach through their own marketing lists or email campaigns.

But these audiences are also more committed to buying, which gives you more chances to go viral and can help you target and discover new customer groups in your target geographies. (And cheap!)

3. Tracking offline referrals to discover new opportunities

Coupons allow you and your referral partners to be creative. Are they speaking in a workshop or podcast? Or do you print flyers with referral codes for your existing customers to share with your friends? Or possibly sending a sample product to an influencer and adding a nice card with a coupon to share with their audience. This is easier than links with coupons.

How do you redeem coupons through Tapfiliate?

In summary, you need to create coupons in the admin panel of your eCommerce platform and then assign them to affiliates in Tapfiliate.

2-step coupon setup

Your affiliates will see coupons next to referral links in their Assets section:

if you are running Shopify, WooCommerce or Teachablethis will work immediately and automatically.

With other e-commerce platforms, you need to take an extra step: connect your shopping cart to our API. Depending on your specific e-commerce platform you can do this on your own or you may need a developer for this.

Often times there is a way to do this in-house using Zapier or Integromat and then it’s easy and no developer required.

To determine if you can do this on your own, you need to see if your eCommerce platform has integration with Zapier or Integromat. If available, watch this short video (below) on how to connect your shopping cart with Tapfiliate to enable coupon tracking.

If Integromat or Zapier do not support your eCommerce platform, you may want to do the integration through an in-house or external developer. To do this, you can find more detailed documentation on setting up coupons here. And check out this article: How to find a developer for your integration (with sample job descriptions for freelance sites).
